On March 1, 2009 Wally Bock’s Three Star Leadership Blog celebrated its 1,000th post. (Three Star Leadership’s 1000th Post) A great accomplishment by a blog that consistently produced valuable and thought provoking ideas about leadership.
To mark this milestone, Bock started the post with the following poem which was accompanied by a personal story.
"He drew a circle that shut me out,
Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in"
Bock then asks some fellow leadership bloggers to contribute “a tip, insight or quote on leadership. Each also shares a pointer to a valuable leadership resource.” All of these contributors are in my Google Reader and should be in yours too!
- David Zinger from Employee Engagement Zingers;
- Dan McCarthy from Great Leadership by Dan blog (Weekly Leader blog of the Week);
- Jim Stroup from Managing Leadership;
- Ellen Weber from Brain Based Leaders and Learners;
- Steve Roesler from All Things Workplace;
- Art Petty from Management Excellence and
- Nina Simosko from Nina Nets It Out.
I believe that Bock chose a great way to celebrate his blog’s 1,000th post because each of the above leadership bloggers has something interesting and valuable to share. But that’s not to take anything away from Bock’s ability to consistently educate and inform his readers about leadership. Three Star Leadership Blog is an excellent resource for anyone interested in the topic of leadership.
Congratulations on the first 1,000! We are looking forward to learning through the next 1,000.

Thanks for the recognition. The really great thing about the post, for me, was being able to share content from some of my favorite bloggers. You're right, they all need to be in your reader.
Wally, thanks for visiting and commenting at Weekly Leader. Congratulations again on your 1,000 post but even more importantly, thanks for producing a great leadership resource.
