Ron Heifetz on Adaptive Leadership (video)

Regular readers of this blog and listeners to the podcast will know that I am very interested in the Adaptive Leadership model that is a advocated by Ron Heifetz and Marty Linsky, professors at Harvard’s Kennedy School and co-founders of Cambridge Leadership Associates.  Linsky was one of our Weekly Leaders (episodes 14 and 15) when their newest book, The Practice of Adaptive Leadership was published last year. Several years ago I had the great fortune to spend a week with Heifetz and Linsky (and 60 other extremely intelligent leadership development practitioners) at their HKS executive education program, The Art and Practice of Leadership Development, and it was an incredible experience.

Today I stumbled upon the below video from a recent presentation done by Heifetz at a Madston Black event in Sydney, Australia. It’s long but if you are involved in developing leaders or your own capacity to lead, you should watch this. It’s a great overview of Adaptive Leadership theory. I hope you enjoy it and learn a lot.
