Twitter #Leadership #FollowFriday Project (@LeaderTalk @Pistachio @RosabethKanter)

Twitter LogoWeek 5 of Weekly Leader’s Twitter Leadership FollowFriday Project profiles three women: another great connector/engager, a Twitter pioneer/leader and a Harvard Business School professor.

Becky Robinson @LeaderTalk on TwitterBecky Robinson is the woman behind the great LeaderTalk blog at Mountain State University. She also manages the @LeaderTalk Twitter account. Like @WallyBock and @EaglesFlite, she’s does an amazing job of connecting with and engaging others.  Her Twitter profile says “Writer. Blogger for Mountain State University, Leadership Development, Social Media, Mom, Homeschooler” and she generously shares her experiences and knowledge in all of these areas. If you’re new to Twitter, download a copy of her Twitter for Beginners white paper and follow @LeaderTalk to learn some best engagement practices.

Laura Fitton @Pistachio on TwitterBack in 2007, I sat next to Laura Fitton (@Pistachio) during an @ChrisBrogan presentation at PodCamp Boston2.  I remembered seeing one of her Twitter updates earlier that morning looking for childcare help and when I mentioned that to her she said how crazy it was that about 600 people were following her.  That day we also learned that we shared a common interest in Sea Education Association, a college accredited tall ship education program: she as student and then crew and me as a board member. Laura makes me feel like a Twitter slacker: I joined Twitter March 2007, have 4800 updates and 1600 Followers. She joined about a month after me and has over 30,000 updates and 50,000 Followers! Laura’s the CEO/Founder of a great website that helps people “find, rate, collect, share” Twitter tools. Follow one of the Twitter pioneers and leaders and you might learn how to pop out of your shell, just like @Pistachio.

Rosabeth Moss Kanter @rosabethkanter on TwitterRosabeth Moss Kanter is a Harvard Business School professor and author of many books on business and leadership with her latest being SuperCorp: How Vanguard Companies Create Innovation, Profits, Growth, and Social Good. (Facebook page)  Kanter wrote one of my all time favorite leadership books, Confidence: How Winning Streaks and Losing Streaks Begin and End. I once attended a full day workshop at Harvard Business School that she organized for nonprofit leaders for free and it was fantastic. Kanter joined Twitter in August 2o09, has updated 568 times, has 2,800 followers and follows 323.  If you want fresh information and links from one of the top business thinkers and writers in the world today, follow @RosabethKanter.
